Milton Funes

Founding Member and President

Milton Funes is a civil engineer with a master's in urban planning and over 25 years of experience in international development. He has led major donor-funded initiatives—including those supported by USAID, CORE, and Global Communities—in diverse and complex environments across Latin America, Africa, and the Middle East. His work focuses on strengthening local governance, empowering vulnerable populations, and driving long-term systemic change.


Milton has held high-level technical and leadership positions, including Director of Impact and Learning, Project Director for youth empowerment and humanitarian response programs, and Country Director roles in Rwanda and Honduras. His portfolio includes multi-million-dollar projects in areas such as health, food security, economic development, and municipal planning.

He is recognized for his strategic leadership in multicultural contexts, his ability to foster inter-institutional alliances, and his use of applied research to inform policy and program design.


Milton also brings deep experience in financial and grant management, the development of technical tools, and the establishment of learning systems that ensure continuous improvement.

Fluent in Spanish, English, French, and Danish, Milton brings a global, inclusive perspective to consultancy work, supporting clients with insight, adaptability, and a commitment to sustainable impact.
